9/11 Testimony of Pastor Andy Deane (MP3 Audio)

The above photos is me about 5 minutes before the towers fell.

I lived only 5 blocks from the WTC towers on 9/11/2001. I was only one block away as the first tower fell and even closer as the second tower fell. God saved my life that day as I ran from the towers and searched for oxygen. He allowed me to assist the brave firemen for hours after this tragedy happened and showed me how intimately He cared for me. God used that day to wake me up to His plan for my life and to get me focused on what really matters. I hope this testimony of God's strength encourages you to run to God whenever you are in a time of need (Psalm 46:1).

oh man i remember that day i was in elementary school and then we got to leave early and i was so happy! my mom picked me up right away which surprised me and i remember yakking my moms ear off i was that happy. We raced home and she turned on the tv and showed me what had happened. while i watched the replay of how the towers fell it took a few times for me to fully realize what had actually happened. Meanwhile my mom was calling my dad because he sometimes went to the twin towers (i actually remember being somewhere in the twin towers! and looking down and feeling kind of sick because it was so high up.) thankfully my dad wasnt in the tower that day but i think his building was pretty close he could watch the towers fall. and i was stock still on the couch and all of sudden i started crying into a pillow and couldnt stop.

andy that was a great testimony!

i didnt actually hear this one, but i was there when you said this at impact...that was such a good testimony, and it totally changed my thinking about the whole thing, because i was just at my house watching TV (because i was homeschooled) so, i remember i was just watching arthur or whatever and then it shows these two towers getting hit by an airplane, and i was only 8...so, i was just like "mom! there's airplanes hitting a building!!" and at first she didnt believe me, so i brought her in the room, and she was just like "...wow..."
so yeah, i just wanted to say...
    andy your my hero! =]

I had heard from a friend God had given you an incredible testimony on 9/11 but never heard it before. And seeing what a godly servant of the Lord you are today, it inspired me to see we all have a beginning with the God. We just need to be available to God and begin our walk with him. Thank you sharing it and making it available. I pray the Lord Jesus would keep you walking strong in His eyes. God Bless you always!
