Ummmm... Here are two Poems
This is from our missionary Joey Rozek in England:
The Greatest Reality... by Joey Rozek
With prophecy behind Him, a surrendered will inside Him,
sweat and blood protruding out of Him, spit all over Him,
mocking men like dogs and strong bulls all around Him,
a religious pride opposing Him, the weight of sin upon Him,
the head of the serpent beneath Him and the joy set before Him...
Jesus delightfully and frightfully, quietly and rightfully, undeservedly
while the public was observing He, with no one to help or stop this reality...
endured the hostility, with heavenly concentration and inhumane humiliation,
He succeeded to pay the debt of every sinful generation,
without a moment of disobedient hesitation or a desperate plea to save His reputation,
Jesus bore it all, redeeming us and esteeming us to bring us eternal salvation.
Listen to the shouts and threats still bouncing off Jerusalem's wall
amidst the Victor who became the Victim announcing deliverance from our fall.
"Save now! Save now!"..."No, I must suffer for creation",
"Are you king? Are you king?"..."Yes, I am the Author of Salvation",
"Blasphemy! Blasphemy!"..."No, Father forgive them",
"Crucify Him! Crucify Him!"..."Yes, Your sins are forgiven",
"Save yourself! Save yourself!"..."No, I must be forsaken",
"Remember me! Remember me!"..."Yes, your debt is now taken",
"He is dead! He is dead!"..."No, I am the Great Physician",
"Behold Him! Behold Him!"..."Yes, I am risen!"
This one is from Bob the Poem Guy:
When I say I am a Christian
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow

When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
i think that is my favorite part of the whole poem! this is an amazing and true poem!
