MISSION TRIP UPDATE: Day #2

Well, day two was great. We had our first opportunity to visit a sugercane village today. The village was so poor. We saw a little boy running around naked. No one had shoes. The houses were built out of anything. It was very dirty. We drove the bus through town honking our horn to get all the kids outside and then met them in a field.

We brought frisbees, kickballs, a 20 foot parachute, tennis balls, a water balloon launcher, stickers, balloons and lots of fun. We played with the kids for 45 minutes and than we gathered about 50+ of them together and we read Bible stories to them in spanish from a Children's Bible we had. After that Dana Morales shared her testimony with the kids and then Frank Estevez gave them the Gospel. We ended with having all the students pray and then we gave them lots of candy and Christian bracelets with verses on them in Spanish.

In the afternoon the rain came down so we had some Bible reading time, freetime in the pool, and then we went to a huge store called JUMBO (basically a walmart) to buy some clothes for the kids whose bags we left home. Everyone is happy and enjoying serving God.

We had time to create and practice a great skit to show Jesus vs Satan struggling for the souls of people. All the students are apart of the skit. It will be great. Very powerful.

I've let the kids listen to your messages on our phone: (732) 709-5158 - remember to call. They love the messages we play for them. You can also email them at ignitedrtrip@yahoo.com

Well, here are some photos from Day #2
Keep praying!!!
