Summer Retreat Photos
This year's summer retreat was awesome! We had such an amazing time at the beach and at the lake. Our theme was: A Closer Walk (with Jesus). We learned in Ephesians 5:1-22 that Paul encourages us to imitate God by (1) Walking in Love, (2) Walking in Light, (3) Walking in Wisdom.
And besides the main sessions I know many of you grew closer to the Lord this week as you spent time reading the Bible on your own (Colossians, Ephesians, Philippians) - KEEP IT UP. Keep reading. Keep praying. Keep in contact with the new friends you made.
Who can forget these moments:
- Great worship with Unspoken and Jeff Deyo
- Amusement park rides that were psycho
- Waterpark slides that cooled us off
- Emmaus Walks with new friends
- Getting real in the small groups
- An inflatable mountain in a lake?
- Pool noodles anyone?
- Scripture reading in the fields
- Breakfast with Jesus in Philippians
- Games: Crack the whip / blob / can can
- Games: Red rover, sparrow fights
- Building a boat with cardboard & duct tape
- Bijan's top 10 corny jokes
- Praying for friends
well, that's all the memories...oh wait...
- There was that little mean joke about how you were all in trouble and going home early, but instead we hit up the Ferris Wheel at 11pm at night! That was fun for me
Man i wish i could have gone to the Retreat man its looks awesome looks like they did a good job this year (dan =)

Oh my gosh, that was probably the funnest five days I've ever had in my LIFE. I really feel like I've grown closer to the Lord too. The only thing that upset me was that Mike Filomeno made me give him his hat :[ It was a shame to cover his pretty braided hair!

ahhh mad i missed this awesome event. Sammy looks so HxC in that pic w/her aviators... hmmm mike & mike bandanas... wonder which lovely lady started that trend. jkjk. mike f loox like a bumb by the fire

that was so great. :]. i love the retreat so much. i wish i can do it again. :]. the bad thing about next year's retreat is that im leaving next year and all the 8th graders are leaving this year :[. and most of them i hangout with when im there.

The laked does look like FUN, aw man!!! But the water-park was SO MUCH FUNNER!!

It was most definitely the most fun filled days I've expeirened! I enjoyed hanging out wit friends and meeting new ones and also learning how to lean on God through my trials and troubles.
