A Cheerful Giver - 2 Corinthians 8-9

Read 2 Corinthians 8-9 and try and keep the theme of "giving" in your mind as you read it. When we talk about giving we don't always mean money. Giving also relates to: time, talents, skills, possessions, love and your life.

As you read ask yourself these questions:
  • What examples does Paul give us when he talks about the Macedonian church.

  • What examples does Paul remind us about when he talks about Jesus?

  • What are some things in your life that you love too much to give away?
Check out the NOTES from this Bible study to learn more about what the Bible says about giving.

Jim Elliot wrote: “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”

What does that mean? If you figure it out then you'll find the freedom and hapiness that comes from letting go of the things of this world and giving all to God.
