Read the Bible in a Year! ($50 Challenge)

Happy New Year! It will be (happy) if you commit to reading the Bible every day. Psalm 1 tells us that if you want to be happy in 2007 then you need to be a guy or a girl that is reading God's Word. Don't waste your time trying to find satisfaction or happiness apart from the Bible - It won't happen. King Solomon tried everything possible... and failed. He had the money and power to search out every possible way to find happiness, but he ended up realizing that living your life for God was the only way (read Ecclesiastes to see his search).

So here is my challenge to every !GNITE student for 2007. READ THE ENTIRE BIBLE IN A YEAR! Sounds crazy doesn't it? Sounds impossible or hard - it isn't. It only takes reading about 3 chapters a day (approximately 15 minutes a day) and you can read the whole Bible in one year. You can take the other 23 hours and 45 minutes of each day to do whatever, but dedicate this 15 minutes each day and watch God change your life this year!

I am so convinced that you will be blessed by doing this that I am willing to put my money where my mouth is. If you can successfully complete the BIBLE IN A YEAR challenge then I will give you $50! Oh yes - 50 big ones. You can ask for it any way that you please - in singles, pennies, in an itunes gift certificate, or any other way that you can think of. My hope is that you will read the Bible each day.

It's the best habit we can ever develop. We have so many bad habits and if we try and develop the GOOD habit of reading the Bible each day then we will naturally get rid of all the other bad habits.

Think you can do it? Then sign up for the challenge on Wednesday or Saturday/Sunday. You have the first two weeks of January to sign up and start reading.

Download the Bible Reading Schedules here! (I recommend the CATEGORY one)

Need help? We'll keep you accountable to reading if you ask us. We can call/txt/email you daily or weekly if you need help remembering. We just want you to READ THE BIBLE - it's good for the soul. You can do it!

My recommendation is the One-year Bible Reading Schedule that is organized by Category. If you commit to the 2 year reading schedule then you can also receive the $50 at the end of the 1st year.

Yo Andrew! I am going to try this out. I'm doing the category one, and I've already started and I can't wait to read all about God and His word, and I can tell it's going to be awesome. (I just realized I say awesome a lot.)

hey, guys, this is truly awesome. i love that ur hearts are in this and so does Jesus. let me tell ya real quick. i've been worried about a friend of mine and his walk with the Lord...so i've been praying for him, and God spoke straight to me thru Matt 18:12-14 (check this passage out) about how once someone is the Lord's, He will never leave or forsake him/her! God gave me clear confirmation thru the Bible that Jesus will not let my friend perish. so, seek Him out and ask Him, and expect the Might One to answer you in a mighty cool way by reading His Word.
